The Café Lani Hawaii Experience

“Lani” means “Heaven” or “Sky” in Hawaiian, and our philosophy is to create a unique dining experience through our freshly baked breads and signature dishes within an open space concept. We invite you to join us in our Hawaiian style of open gatherings for family and friends!

About Pierthirty

Cafe Lani Hawaii is owned and operated by Japan-based restaurant group Pierthirty USA. In addition to Cafe Lani, Pierthirty USA owns and operates Tempura Ichidai on the 3rd floor of the Ewa Wing of Ala Moana Center.

Our Chef

Chef Masayuki Ohara

After stints as a cook and then chef in Japan, Chef Ohara decided pursue his career in the United States. His appreciation for Italian-influenced cuisine started at the Ritz Carlton Osaka and now extends to his role with us at Cafe Lani.

Chef Ohara

With a modern looking venue and a novel all-you-can-eat bread concept, Cafe Lani surpassed my expectations to say the least. The entrées were generously portioned and, in the vein of restaurants in Japan, a few set meals were also available (includes soup of the day and appetizer trio).

Very nice ambience! It feels like you're at home. The service is excellent. This was our first time here and our waiter was very patient and helpful. He gave us great suggestions. I'm glad we went with his recommendations. We will definitely be back to try lunch and dinner!
